I've got real trouble to decide... But I guess that if I really had to, I'd pick shepherd Book.

Why him? Mine is Kathee, she's a very good person, really nice one, open-minded and always cheerful

Book is solid, very charismatic in his own way, a good conversationist and seems to be a genuinely nice guy. Also has a bit of mystery to him. Pretty sharp wit, great deal of tolerance, can even kick ass quite well for a shepherd... Level-headed... He's got this aura of quiet, peaceful self-confidence... He just rocks.
Kaylee is way too cheerful for my tastes. I like her - but I like the others better. I've got a...problem...with cheerful people.

Hahaha! I know what you mean about cheerful people. But still I don't know why, but Kaylee remains my favourite. The only scene with her that made her fall in my eyes was the scene, where she fu*ked the first mechanic of Serenity. I didn't think she was such a whor*... But probably that's why they like each other with Inara. I kinda forgot about Sheperd's mystery. I think he was never revealed, right? Too bad, so many characters to develop and only 13 episodes And too bad Sheperd Book died in Serenity, I would have loved to see his character better developed in a second season.

Oh boy... Haven't seen the film yet, didn't get round to it... Man, this is what I call a da*n fu*king juicy spoiler. *sigh* ;-) OK, one more reason to favour this guy... Got a soft spot for those who die in the end.

Now - due to that spoiler I expected this guy to bite the dust... But I seriously didn't expect the other lethal accident... I really love movie deaths like this one. Sudden, unexpected, pathos free...and quite heartbreaking. Got to add **'s death to my "fave movie deaths" list. Yup.
But I think that it is a real shame that shepherd didn't get more space and more time on-screen. Suppose he somehow didn't fit in... or whatever. But it's a pity. He might have several interesting surprises up his sleeve and sooo many questions remained unanswered. Plus - he looked so good with the beard. Shepherds can be really really sexy.
Oh, one more thing - regarding Kaylee - since when you dislike free, opne-minded girls...? ;-) The only thing I was disappointed with was the fact that she went with such a dork. But I guess she was more interested about the engine room, so it's quite OK with me...;-)

About Kaylee - My point exactly! About Firefly - I already wrote this somewhere, but I'll repeat it shortly. The movie was great, a perfect one, if you hadn't seen the series. But with the series behind it, it just kinda spoiled them. It was made a totally different way. Killing Book too early is also what I didn't like, he could have made an entire season! And they never explained how he got to that planet, off from the ship and why. Now Zoe's husband's death (I forgot his name) was a good one - unexpected, sad, etc. The only think I liked here was River kicking asses Better than the Matrix!

River was *beautiful* when she switched to that killer mode. Esp. the fight scene with River and Reavers... Fantastic mixture of berserker and ballerina...:-)

The fight scene in the bar was better in my opinion She used all she could get around her - plates, guys, tables, chairs, more guys...
